Heatseeker
What’s better than supersonic jets and the Wii? Using supersonic jets to bomb things on the Wii! That’s what Heatseeker promises. You get a bunch of modern jets, like the F22, F16, F15, and F35, modern weapons, such as fuel air bombs, JDAM’s, and thermobaric bombs (to blow up caves), then go kill things. Sounds fun right? Well it could be best on the Wii if the controls are correct. Nothing is better for flight sims then a joystick, but a Wii-mote could be the next best thing. Keep an eye out for this game, it will be out for all systems March 2007. How could bombing lots of things at once not be a fun game?
Edit: IGN misrepresented which consoles Heatseeker will be on. It will only be on PS2, PSP, and Wii. Take that next gen consoles!

The Wiimote could be used as a joystick, just turn it upwards and hold it like a normal joystick. That control scheme might actually work well for a flight game. Other flight games are using the “paper plane” style, where the controller is held like you would throw a paper plane, and the controller basically becomes an off-screen representation of the aircraft. Either could work, but for a faster paced game, I don’t think the paper-plane would work very well.
